about

Jean-Marc Lederman and Emileigh Rohn (Chiasm) are a match made in heaven! Constantly creating, constantly innovating, and always pushing forward. The dynamic duo decided to "remix" their critically acclaimed album "Venus Chariot" [#1 on the DAC charts] simply because this is NOT how it is done.

They also decided to give it to their fans for the symbolic price of $1!
Let's hear what they had to say about "Apollo Chariot":

We wanted to revisit "Venus Chariot" with some fresh angles, and we started with the idea that you could take a vocal out of its primary environment and it would take on a totally new meaning. A new sense if you will, by just changing the musical colors behind them.

In a way, "Apollo Chariot" takes "Venus Chariot" a step further and shatters its rather hedonistic feel. The songs have taken on a totally new identity and the music is more unsettled, fragile, tormented (not always, there's even a salsa aural decorum) and adventurous. It paints a sonic picture that demands more from the listener as well. In a way, we fashioned ourselves after the Tom Waits quote: "We do beautiful things - telling terrible things".

As Emileigh says: "I am comfortable in my sadness. It is a companion, steady at times, turbulent in others. It surrounds me, nourishes me, allows me to distinguish the joy I seek, tugs, and whispers, "Yes, we are alive".
